Capitol 24% SC
Active Ingredient Chlorfenapyr 24% SC
Chemical Group Aryl Pyrrole
Product Characteristics
  • Insecticide and acaricide with primary stomach action and limited contact activity.
  • Belongs to the arylpyrrole group.
  • Translaminar movement within plant tissues with limited systemic activity.
  • Effective against many insect and mite species, including strains resistant to carbamates, organophosphates, pyrethroids, and insect growth regulators.
Mode of Action Chlorfenapyr inhibits oxidative processes in the pest through its active N-ethoxymethyl group. It acts as an uncoupler of oxidative phosphorylation in mitochondria, disrupting ATP production (cellular energy). This prevents energy conversion inside the pest’s body, leading to cellular death.
