| Product Description |
Tafaban 48% EC is an organophosphorus insecticide effective by contact, stomach action,
and vapor (fumigant) effect, with additional toxicity through respiration.
It is characterized by rapid action and long-lasting residual control on target pests.
It provides highly efficient control of a wide range of harmful insects attacking fruit trees, vegetables, field crops, ornamental plants, and legumes. The product is widely used due to its ability to control multiple pests on the same crop with high efficiency, providing longer plant protection and reducing the number of spray applications. Considered one of the more stable organophosphorus compounds, it has relatively lower toxicity to humans, mammals, and plants when used according to recommendations, and has no harmful effect on beneficial soil microorganisms. |
| Mode of Action | Acts by contact, stomach, and fumigant action. The biological effect appears through respiratory failure, while the primary mechanism involves inhibition of acetylcholinesterase enzyme activity in the insect nervous system. This leads to accumulation of acetylcholine, causing paralysis and eventual death of the insect. |
